Wallace Dunwoody
Wallace Dunwoody is an Associate at Munck Carter and a member of the firm's Litigation section.
Mr. Dunwoody represents clients in a broad range of civil disputes, including banking, construction, directors and officers, fraud, deceptive trade practices, health care, hospitality, insurance coverage, intellectual property, real estate, and securities matters.
Before joining Munck Carter, Mr. Dunwoody worked for a commercial real estate development company, where he was responsible for all aspects of the company's legal affairs, ranging from general corporate matters, to land acquisitions and dispositions, contract negotiations, and litigation management.
Representative Experience:
- Representing plaintiff drug manufacturer on a pharmaceutical patent claim (ANDA litigation) against generic competitor.
- Represented plaintiff mall owner on a $30 million claim for roof collapse at a regional shopping mall.
- Defended manufacturer of fiber optic connectors in patent infringement suit; obtained unanimous jury finding of no infringement.
- Represented vending machine manufacturer in patent infringement suit against two main competitors; settled for undisclosed amount on the first day of trial.
- Represented defendant officers and directors of a telecom company against $100 million claims by Chapter 7 Trustee.
- Represented corporate client on a wide range of multi-million dollar real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, contract negotiations, and land development.
- Represented purchaser of land in a multimillion dollar dispute against seller and title company regarding undisclosed restrictive covenants.
- Defended hotel owner in $8 million dispute involving corporate waste, breach of contract, and fraud claims brought by commercial lender.
- Represented purchaser of sign manufacturing business in $10 million dispute against sellers of company for failing to honor purchase agreement.
- Represented governmental taxing authority in $25 million collection dispute involving oil and gas interests.
- Represented real estate investment trust in $30 million dispute against commercial lender over dishonored lending commitment.
